You are invited to the Grand Opening of Casco Bay Artisans on Thursday, December 3, 2015. The ribbon cutting ceremony is at 4:30 pm The Art, Food and Fun follows and runs until 8:00 -pm. The new location is at 68 Commercial Street, on The Maine Wharf, Portland.
The Grand Opening is in memory of Melissa Rector Bourque. A percentage of the art sold will benefit the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients at New England Cancer Specialists. The popular Art Center was previously located on Middle Street in the Old Port – and then Jenn Swarts found this exciting location on the waterfront. (Behind it on the Maine Wharf is Scales, a restaurant owned by Dana Street and expected to open in 2016.)
Most recently the CBA showed the original cartoons and art work of renown cartoonist Bill Woodman; for The New Yorker magazine and others. His show ran from October until earlier this month.
This is an event not to be missed if you like Art, Food and Fun! Does that include you?!
