Arrests Made in Burglary of Computers at Hall School

Three arrests were made today in an early morning burglary of Hall Elementary School, located at 23 Orono Road.  Around 2:40 AM, Portland Police officers responded to a burglar alarm sounding at the school.

Officers observed several males dressed in dark clothing fleeing from the back of the school. The subjects were pushing a cart loaded with 24 laptop computers. Minutes later, officers checking the area located a vehicle running in the driveway of 30 Sunset Avenue.  In the backseat were 15 Apple desktop computers as well as other items stolen from the school.  Officers subsequently located 4 individuals in the residence at 30 Sunset Avenue.  The estimated value of the recovered stolen property is $40,000.

Isiah David Taylor, 18, was arrested and charged with Burglary.  Daniel Perez, 20, was arrested for Criminal Trespass.  A 16-year-old male was arrested for Criminal Trespass.

The investigation is continuing and police expect to make more arrests.
