One of the many highlights of the 19th annual Art on the Hill fair at East End Community School is the art work of digital artist/Illustrator Karen Dubois Fisher.  Karen said that this is the first time she has been a vendor at this fair and it has been a successful experience for her so far today.  She has been showing her popular calendars and charming, seasonal cards at other art fairs in the area – often with husband Tim at her side as he was today.

This is the 19th annual Art on the Hill fair according to Elizabeth Fraser, organizer,  during most of those years.  Fraser, a self-taught painter with paintings of her own in the fair, said there are sixty-five artists in today’s show.  About 12 vendors are here for the first time.

Another highlight of the 2023 fair is Lucy Goodrich,  who has vended at the fair for many years.  She is the creator of the popular Laceypots.  Her originally designed pieces are often seen around Portland in gift shops.  She specializes in collections and custom order work. Lacey creates like no one else –  plates, pitchers, mugs, bowls, vases, lamps and so much more.

Art on the Hill runs through tomorrow, Sunday,  December 3, 2023 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.  Don’t miss this opportunity to pick-up some unique and original items for your holiday gift giving while supporting talented Portland artists.
