“We are overflowing and need the extra space,” said Will Pratt today talking about his company’s expansion to the Bunker Brewing Co. planned for October 2016. Located on Anderson Street in East Bayside, the four-year old espresso coffee icon will move into the Bunker Brewing Co. building after it vacates the premises behind it when it relocates to Libbytown in September!
The annex will probably hold a training center for coffee roaster employees as well as a center for their wholesale business. Most likely the current building will add a baking component in it. The two-year old Tandem Bakery 742 Congress Street has also outgrown its site and needs additional space to meet its production needs for its business. Briana Holt, formerly of Martha’s Vineyard, of the chief baker for the company.
The business roasts three blends and four single origin espresso coffees. More than half of their espresso coffee in sold out of states – including Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Ohio and New Orleans. The two businesses employ twenty employees between them – with employees alternating their hours between the two sites.
