John Roberts Expressed his Views at Lincoln Park Two Summers Ago.

“Today in Augusta, State House Representative Mick Devin introduced legislation that would ban offshore drilling in state waters as well as onshore infrastructure that is needed to conduct these activities,” according to a press release issued today from Carissa Maurin, state director of Environment Maine on legislation in Congress.

“The reality, proved time and again, is that when we drill, we spill. Opening our coasts to offshore drilling would devastate our marine ecosystems and our way of life.”

“Sir Isaac Newton said that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is the equal and opposite reaction we’ve been waiting for. We’re sending a big thank you to Representative Mick Devin for his efforts to protect our coastal waters from offshore drilling.”

Mick Devin represents District # 90 that includes: Damariscotta, Newcastle, Bremen, Bristol, Nobleboro (part) South Bristol (part), Monhegan Plantation, and the unorganized territory of Louds Island.
