Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon Wins Big in July 14th Primary

Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon (D) easily won the primary yesterday for the candidate to compete against Senator Susan Collins (D) in the November 3, 2020 election.  According to unofficial election results from the city of Portland, Gideon received 10,444 votes or 66.49% of the votes.

Bre Kidman received a total of 1,234 votes or 7.86% of the votes.  Betsy Sweet received 4, 029 votes or 25.65% of the votes cast.

Referendum questions have not been finalized yet.  When they are the city will release those results according to a press release from the city spokeswoman.
