Today at 2:00 pm, there will be a rally in Monument Square, Portland, in support of an impeachment inquiry according to a press release from Marie Follayttar, co-Director of Mainers for Accountable Leadership. MFAL is hosting the event today.
“Beginning an impeachment inquiry is not a partisan issue. It is a moral and Constitutional responsibility of our elected officials to take action and investigate a lawless President. We refuse to be quiet while children remain in cages, while violence is incited and the President would welcome future collusion if it benefits his re-election,” wrote Follayttar in the press release. MFAL joins a nationwide weekend of action calling for an impeachment inquiry.
Events are to take place in more than 140 cities and towns including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Juneau, Boston and Detroit and Portland, Maine!
The percentage of Americans in favor of impeachment has steadily risen in response to the release of the Mueller Report and Mueller’s subsequent statement.
