Cyrus Hagge, a wealthy resident of Munjoy HIll, has submitted a conditional use application and an administrative authorization application for the reuse of CoachWorks facility at 121 Cassidy Point.

The proposal is to convert the 5.105 sq. ft. building into a marine repair services, yacht brokerage, boat storage and the storage and repair of fishing equipment.  Other uses for the building will include low impact industrial or light manufacturing.

Before telling me to leave the property this blogger asked Hagge who the owners were and he would not say.  In response to a question as to whether or not this business would be in competition with New Yard, Phin Sprague, Jr.’s boat yard on the western end of Commercial Street.  He said “No.”

Across the Drive is a light blue building, 128 Cassidy Point Drive, that has also filed an application with the city to convert the building into a warehouse for imported products and office space as well.

Both applications are on the planning board’s agenda for July 10, 2018 for a public hearing at 7:30 pm in city council chambers at city hall.
