The Grand Opening of the first medical marijuana store in the Old Port was a huge success today. “Fire on Fore,” at 367 Fore Street, drew people with the proper identification needed to purchase the marijuana permitted them. although there were others who came out of curiousity and to congratulate Leo on his store opening.
“My family and I enjoy the Old Port. We just walked past the store and decided to come in and congratulate them on their opening. I’ve been a supporter over the past two years as I’ve become more educated about the industry. We are talking about a product that’s been sold on the black market without any regulation and the state has not seen any benefit from taxation. It’s been a long hard fight,” said Sean Thomas. Peter Mourmourhs, Biddeford, said he has pain in both knees. “I call it inflamed joints.” His doctor told him to take marijuana for three months and see if it helped the pain. He did as instructed. It helped significantly. He has taken it for five (5) years now and no surgery is anticipated. Mr. Mourmourhs benefits from the CBD and Turmeric in his marijuana. “I’ll be back here because this place in heavily regulated by the state” he said. .And then he took off with his wife on a shopping spree in the Old Port.
