Angela Adams Designs Robbed Yesterday Afternoon; No Injuries Reported

Angela Adams Designs, located at 273 Congress Street,  was robbed yesterday afternoon according to a press release issued by the Portland Police Department this morning.  The robbery occurred at 1:30 pm and :Portland Police are investigating the matter.

A lone male entered the storefront and approached the counter.  The suspect spoke briefly  to the employee and demanded cash. The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled east on Congress Street.  The suspect did not display a weapon.  The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair and a dark scruffy beard and mustache.  The suspect was reported as a white male with dark hair and a dark scruffy beard and mustache.  He was reported to be between  25 and 30 years old and described as being about 5’6″ tall and weighing about 150lbs. The suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt and light-colored baggy jeans.  No injuries were reported.

Angela Adams Designs was founded in 1998 and moved to its current location in 2002.  The Maine-based company designs rugs, furniture and other home furnishings that appeal to high-end stores across the country.  Adams is a Maine native who lives on Munjoy Hill.
