What used to be the flagship store for Angela Adams high-end retail business is expected to become residential condominiums sometime in the future according to sources familiar with the situation. The site, 273 Congress Street, has been vacant for months now leaving neighbors speculating as to whether or not the space would become another restaurant in the area.
Workmen said they were doing repairs to the first floor which had been neglected for some time. There is a water leak from the first floor they were fixing and other similar repair work.
No applications have been filed with the City’s planning office for condominium conversions nor has any application for permits been applied for either. Earlier this year Angela Adams flagship store moved to Middle Street – hoping to catch more of the area’s pedestrian traffic for its high-end retail business.
When will this big fat bubble burst? Any thoughts?
