Jonathan Cohen, Owner of 100 Fore Street Property.

The Portland planning board will hold a public hearing to consider the redevelopment of 100 Fore Street on January 8, 2019. The meeting is in Room 24 of the basement of city hall. It is estimated to take place around 6:40 pm – 7:45 pm. Public testimony will be heard.

A portion of the building will be demolished and the remaining 9,100 sf will be renovated for a fitness center. That’s where HamiltonMarine is currently located. They will be relocating to Presumpscot Street later this winter. 100 Fore Street is behind the under construction, massive, WEX headquarters on the Portland waterfront.

A three-level parking garage (total of 539 parking spaces) and office space as well as retail space on Fore Street, are proposed.

Cohen is co-owner with Joe Soley of Falmouth Center, Route 1, Falmouth. They are trying to redevelop that property into a more industrial area than their original plans.

 1. I have been thinking for some time to pick up my wife a nice chef knife, something that will kind of be a “buy it for life” type thing. Recommend me some Chef’s Knife Review
